The lawns of Plantation House are set to be filled with festive cheer as the annual Christmas Fair returns on Sunday, 7th December 2025. This much-loved community fundraising event will run from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offering an afternoon of entertainment, food, and holiday shopping.
The fair is popular on the island’s Christmas calendar, transforming the grounds of the Governor’s official residence into a bustling marketplace at Plantation House.
What’s On at the Fair?
This year’s event promises a variety of attractions for all ages.
For shoppers, a variety of stalls will have traditional crafts, confectionery, and Christmas gifts.
Children can enjoy face painting, nail painting, and a scavenger hunt. A “Photo Shoot with Santa” will also be available for a memorable picture. A diverse selection of hot food will be on sale, including various curries from Melvin Benjamin and other tasty options. The Amphibians Bar will offer the usual bar facilities and its own hot food. For those seeking a classic afternoon treat, The Dook’s will serve teas, coffees, and confectionery, alongside mulled wine, mince pies, and also the ice cream van.
Your entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon by Colin Peters to entertain everyone.
Entry to the event is £1.00 for adults and 50p for children aged 10 to 15. Children under 10 years are admitted for free.

Plantation House is the residence of the Island’s Governor and is also home to the famous world’s oldest inhabitant, Jonathan the Tortoise. Plantation is a Georgian-style property built in the 1790s, and it provides a unique backdrop for this local event.
